Benny the Blue Heeler Series

The 'Benny the Blue Heeler' series is a collection of glossy, high quality, hardcover, humourous children's picture books, aimed at children aged between three and eight years. To date Michèle has illustrated the first two books in this series. Michèle prefers the traditional method of hand-drawn and painted illustrations without the aid of computer programs like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Primarily using coloured pencil and watercolour the pages come alive with Michèle's interpretation of the book's characters. Her humourous and expressive illustrations bring the story to life and help children understand and identify with the naughty antics and the numerous emotions of the main characters. Michèle's pictures encourage children to participate in the reading and to talk about what else is happening on the page.

A Mostly Fortunate Life, The Selected Memoirs of Owen Lloyd

A Mostly Fortunate Life, published in March 2010, was written by Owen Lloyd, a retired journalist and senior media advisor to former Prime Minister Malcom Fraser.

The book covers Owen's life and career experiences in a selection of interesting and entertaining vignettes.

Michèle was asked to illustrate six of Owen's more humourous anecdotes, the chapter titles of which are as follows:

- Goats Eat the News
- Biggles to the Rescue
- Bob
- Granny Takes a Bath
- The Uluru Run
- Tales from Seat 13

To keep with the book's style Michèle's hand-drawn illustrations are in black and white, primarily using different shades of black and grey pencil and watercolour.
