Michèle Achhammer was born in Scotland and raised and educated in Germany. Michèle's interest in art became apparent in childhood. After travelling the world extensively and living in London for several years, she came to Australia in 1991 and decided to settle in Brisbane, Queensland. Over the years her obvious artistic talent has developed and her skilled work continues to be acclaimed by her peers. Michèle's preferred medium is oil. She specialises in portraits, landscapes and seascapes and has been commissioned to illustrate children's books. Some of her oil paintings can be found in private collections in Australia and Europe.
